Thousands watch Christmas Lights spectacle in Cape Town

The Public Lighting Department was formally thanked, by its Head, Charles Kadalie, for their work on the Christmas Lights, which culminated to the evening's celebrations.
The Christmas lighting on Adderly Street is a 41-year-old Capetonian tradition and in recent years, has become one of the city's biggest annual events. Last nights performance attracted a crowd of approximately 50 000 people.
