Pakistan, needing to win this match to clinch a semifinal berth, made heavy weather against Bangladesh.

Until the 10th over, Bangladesh were knocking off runs at eight per over, and losing only two wickets in the process - with Siddique batting like a professional.

However in the 15th over, Siddique was dismissed for 71, leaving Bangladesh at 112/5. They however lost their way and ended on 140 all out.

The advantage of winning the toss gave Pakistan an opportunity to coast to 66/2 with the dismissal of Afridi for 39 and Pakistan at 66/2 with a run rate of 8.

Pakistan clinched a 5 wicket victory in the 19th over. Keeping dreams alive of an appearance in the final (and the ultimate tribute to Bob Woolmer).
