Durbanville Squash Club to hold 4th World Deaf Squash Championship

The Durbanville Squash Club will host the 4th World Deaf Squash Championships in October this year. The event is expected to attract over 50 elite players and officials from around the globe.

The event, which is sponsored by the World Squash Federation (WSF), the World Deaf Squash Association (WDSA), the South African Deaf Sports Federation, the South African Sports Confederation and Olympic Committee, Squash South Africa, Disability Sports South Africa, City of Cape Town, Western Cape Department of Sport Culture and Recreation, Western Cape Deaf Sports Federation, Western Province Squash and Durbanville Squash Club, is to be hosted by the South African Deaf Squash Association.

The tournament is recognised by the World Squash Federation as well as Squash South Africa and will comprise team events for both male and female competitors from all levels.

South African sportspersons are expected to come up against rivals from Australia, England, Netherlands, New Zealand, Pakistan and Scotland during the tournament.
