‘Do or Die’ was the name of the game played at Newlands today. Pakistan proved to be the victors, much to the delight of most of the spectators, and gave the crowds a lot to cheer about as well.

New Zealand won the toss and elected to bat first. With the score at 85 for 3 wickets at the end of 13 over, they were well on track to post a respectable total.

Thereafter, however, when the bowlers took 5 wickets it was all Pakistan. The innings ended on 143.

Pakistanm realizing that they required just over 7 runs per over to proceed to the final, made sure of their quest.
